Welcome to your weekly email from your Students’ Union. We hope you are all doing okay during this stressful time. Your SU is here for you so keep in touch.
You are now able to access your new exam timetables. There are few key changes that we would like to draw your attention to:
- Exams will start 21st April and finish Fri 15th May (an extension of 1 week)
- There will only be two exam time slots 9:30am and 2:30pm.
- You will only have a max of 1 online exam per day.
- In certain circumstances you will be able to carry up to 10 ECTS into your next year of study.
- There will be no capping on repeat exams this academic year (unless the Exam Security Group apply it in individual cases)
- You will only be required to repeat components of a module you have failed and not the entire module
- You will have up to 30 minutes extra time to upload supporting documents i.e. diagrams
- Where the Disability Support Service has recommended exam accommodations for you, please liaise with the appropriate staff in the relevant discipline to request that any required exam accommodations are put in place for timed assessments designed to replace the semester 2 exams
- If students have caring responsibilities, we have asked for academics to be flexible with the current situation we are all in. If you feel that an exam/assessment really isn’t working for you in this context, we would advise to get in contact with the relevant academic staff.
- Each student will be required to sign a disclaimer to say the work they have done is their own and may be requested to complete a viva, if there are concerns about ownership of work.
