Marchathon is the annual Walking Challenge that runs in March each year. It’s a team Challenge, with teams of 3-6 people signing up and aiming to take as many steps as possible during the challenge and win prizes along the way. 5 A Day for Mental Health Workshops
We have teamed up with Jigsaw to bring you this free 1 hour workshop which aims to provide young adults, aged 17 – 25 in third level educational settings, with the strategies necessary to build and take care of their own mental health. The workshops take place 5.30pm-6.30pm Thurs 4th March or 5.30pm-6.30pm Mon 29th March via Zoom. More info and sign up here.

National Student Survey Opens Monday
The National Student Survey runs for NUIG students Mon 22nd Feb to 14 March 2021. It’s open to 1st year and final year undergrads and all postgrad students. There’s great prizes to be won but more importantly this is where you can have your voice heard. What do you think NUIG is doing well? Where could NUIG improve? Eye on the Edge Galway 2021 – Call for Proposals
We are inviting you to send your proposals for Eye on the Edge 2021 an online festival curated and created by young people taking place from the 23rd- 25th of April. Our core theme and message is DIVERSE VOICES we want to celebrate diversity and bring together diverse opinions, groups and solutions to some of the most important issues we face today’s climate change, racism. Isolation and mental health amongst others. We want you to get involved! Are you between the ages of 14-30? Do you have a fresh idea for a panel discussion, workshop or musical performance? The Student Achievement Awards Ireland is the annual opportunity for the student movement in Ireland to recognise the contribution of students to improving the experience of their fellow students, and to wider society. A Mixed-Methods Study to Investigate Irish University Students’ Experiences of Participation in Learning after Concussion.
This survey will gather information on the kinds of difficulties students experience when returning to university after sustaining a concussion. Survey Link.

Participants Needed: Study on undergraduate students’ experiences of the Covid-19 pandemic
A final year psychology research team are seeking participants for a study which aims to understand and explore social isolation during the pandemic, barriers to physical distancing, and stress and coping mechanisms for third level undergraduate students. If you choose to take part in this study, you will be invited to a confidential, non-judgemental online interview.
