Meet Tom Keal

Club's Captain

The Clubs’ Captain represents University of Galway Clubs on the Students’ Union Executive and the Sports and Recreation Union.

Hi everyone! My name is Tom, and I am stoked to be this year’s Clubs’ Captain! I am a final year student in Geography and Geosytems. Last year, I was the Surf club captain, and over the years I’ve been on five different committees, in both clubs and societies. With that experience, I fully understand how difficult it can be to be part of a club committee and how rewarding it can be for us students!

Sports Clubs have always been my safe space at university; I’ve met most of my friends there, and it’s where I go to destress after studying. Sport is for all, and I aim to ensure all students have a radical time in their clubs, just as I did!
