Sin is a student news outlet operated by the University of Galway Students’ Union. It includes a mix of campus news, features, sport and reviews.
The Editor will be responsible for recruiting a team of volunteer student writers to contribute relevant content for Sin.ie.
The Sin Editor will be a self-starter with experience of working well with others.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Recruit, direct and motivate a team of volunteer writers.
• Overall responsibility for sourcing content, including content as Gaeilge.
• Maintain a high standard of writing in all Sin content.
• Update Sin.ie website and social media platforms daily (Monday – Friday) with news, features etc
• Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Remuneration
€275 (gross) per week in term time.

• Cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
• A proposal outlining a plan of how you will manage Sin for the remainder of the academic year. This should include your plans to fulfil the duties outlined above, and any other ideas you have.
• Joint / Group applications are welcome. Please outline in your proposal how teams would work together and how the weekly stipend would be shared.
