Comhairle believes:

That the rights of nurses should be actively supported and promoted, and that student nurses should be paid a living wage during their placements.

Comhairle notes:

The Students’ Union’s long-standing commitment to supporting student nurses,

Comhairle mandates:

The Students’ Union to advocate for:

1. Student nurses to receive a living wage during their placements; and
2. The broader protection of nurses’ rights, including the right to a fair number of sick days during placement without the requirement to make up missed days.
