Christmas Holiday Arrangements 2022
University of Galway semester 1 teaching and exams ends on Fri 16th Dec 2022.
Semester 2 Teaching starts on Mon 9th of Jan 2023.

- The Students’ Union Office will close 5pm Weds 21st Dec and reopen 10am Mon 9th Jan.
- The SU Cloakroom will close at 7pm on Fri 16th Dec and reopen 9am Mon 9th Jan.
- The SU Síbín will close at 5pm on Fri 16th Dec and reopen 9am Mon 9th Jan.
- Sult will close 6pm Weds 21st Dec and reopen 8.30am Weds 4th Jan.
- The SU Shop will close Weds 21st Dec and reopen Weds 4th Jan.
- Smokey’s Café will close on Fri 16th Dec and reopen Weds 4th Jan.
- The James Hardiman Library will close at 5.30pm Fri 23rd Dec and reopen 8.30am Weds 4th Jan.
- The Reading Room will be open 19th – 23rd December: 07:00 – 02:30, 24th December: 07:00 – midnight, 25th + 26th December: Closed, 27th – 31st December: 7:00 – midnight, 1st + 2nd January 2023: Closed
- The Student Health Unit will close 4.30pm Tues 20th Dec and will reopen 9.30am Thurs 5th Jan. For urgent/emergency medical issues during this time please go to their website for services which are available – please note there is a charge for these services.
- Sin Newspaper will be back with a new issue on Tues 24th of Jan.
- Flirt FM are closed/running repeats from Sun 18th Dec until Mon 16th Jan. The studios are bookable by request to info@flirtfm.ie
- The Socsbox and Hub Office/Kitchen will be closed from Sat 17th Dec and reopen Mon 9th Jan. The common area to the Hub will still be open access with the exception of Christmas Day as the building will be closed.
- The Chaplaincy will be open as a social space 10am-6pm throughout the holidays and they will have refreshments, Christmas Movies and board games 10am-6pm Christmas Day + New Year’s Day – all welcome.
