Exam Guidelines HERE
Before The Exam
- Develop a study strategy. There are plenty of sample planners online.
- Keep a designated study space that resembles the exam conditions. If your study place is quiet you’ll have a better chance of reproducing information in an exam situation.
- If you need help with a topic reach out to your classmates or your lecturer.
- Know when and where your exams are – check out your personalised timetable on the University of Galway exams website.
- Plan ahead to make sure you get to your exam venue at least 30 minutes before the exam starts with your University of Galway Student ID Card.
- Know what type of exam you will be sitting – open book, MCQ, 2 hour written paper – if you are unsure ASK. Familiarise yourself with the exam and plagiarism regulations.
During The Exam
- Take time to settle yourself and BREATHE.
- Read all questions carefully.
- Keep an eye on the time and when the time you’ve allotted for a question is up move on to the next one.
- Don’t panic! If you have the work done you’ll be fine. Try to relax and your exam will run smoothly.
