Monday 9th of November/Dé Luain, an 9 Samhain
8am- 1pm French Breakfast in The View. French society are catering to all of our needs this week, what better way to start your day than eating a beautiful free French breakfast!
8:15pm – 9:15pm Culture Night in The View. Be sure and come and see for yourself what cultures are out there. From traditions to food, everyone’s different and it’s time we learn more about each other.
Tuesday 10thof November/Dé Máirt, an 10 Samhain
2pm-3pm Trans* safe space collaboration with GigSoc in the SU Office.
6pm NUIG’s #safecampus discussion on how to make NUIG a safer campus specifically focusing on sexual health and support in The Hub Wellness Room.
7pm NUIG SU Pink Ladies night in the College Bar which includes a pop -up beauty salon with hair and makeup by Barry’s Hair Salon. Pink bubbles and a Chocolate Fountain, Rugby players getting waxed, a DJ, a raffle and your MC’s for the night Steven Sharpe and Tracy Bruen. All monies raised are going to Galway Rape Crisis Centre and the Irish Cancer Society
8pm – 9pm Writers’ Soc host a multi-language society collaboration to include the translating of colloquial sayings and proverbs to use as writing prompts in AC213. Food and refreshments provided
Wednesday 11th of November/ Dé Céadaoin, an 11 Samhain
1pm – 3pm Ban the R Word Campaign in Smokey’s Café with Best Buddies Society. This campaign is trying to raise awareness on how certain words can hurt and isolate people with an intellectual disability.
3pm Ability West Talk about disabilities and the struggle students face every day in the Anderson Theatre.
8pm- 10pm “Inside I’m Dancing” film screening Dillon Theatre
Thursday 12th of November/Déardaoin, an 12 Samhain
3pm- 5pm in the Bailey Allen foyer Psych Soc is teaming up with Neuro Soc for social inclusion week. Ever wanted to see how your own brain functions look while chatting away? Pop over to our stand and grab a voucher for trying out our eeg monitors. Also, write on our equality board and the winner gets a prize! #littlethings
