What’s so great about your “year’s work”?
In some courses, your year’s work is just about the most important thing you’ll do, and usually consists of lab or project work. Fail this and you’re in big trouble! In a lot of cases, you’ll have to repeat the year, so make sure you do your best!
…yellow thing
What is that yellow thing in front of the Library?
It is an “abstract metal sculpture” by the artist Brian King. Over the years it has acquired a few nicknames including The Big Yellow Thing, Archimedes’ Balls, The Squiggle and Galway Yellow. It’s also listed as a protected structure by Galway City Council!
