Raise and Give week is a chance for you to take a break, have some fun and help raise funds for charity!
It takes place Sunday 9th – Friday 14th February 2025

What’s happening for Raise and Give Week?

Sunday 9^th February | Dé Domhnaigh 9 Feabhra

• 12.30pm RAG Run. Sign up for the RAG 5km Fun Run/Jog/Walk/Roll HERE. Early bird entry is just €10 which all goes to the SU Charities. Goodie bags + t-shirts for all entrants! Prizes for best costumes with a Heroes and Villains theme (Costumes optional but encouraged!)
• Flirt FM 24 Hour Radio-thon. Tune in as Flirt FM broadcast for 24 hours on 101.3FM without a break! Donations HERE.

Monday 10th February | Dé Luain 10 Feabhra

• 11am-3pm RAG Sale. Pop Up Charity Clothes Shop with Galway Simon Community in the Cube downstairs in Áras na Mac Léinn
• 6pm-10pm Firewalk. Just 3 spaces left! More info and sign up HERE.
• 8pm Mayo Monday: The Tumbling Paddies + Jack Reilly at Sult. Tickets on sale HERE.

Tuesday 11^th February | Dé Máirt 11 Feabhra

• 1pm Shave Off at Sult. Shave your head or face to raise funds for the SU Charities! More info and sign up HERE.
• 7pm-12am SOS. Galway’s biggest student event in Áras na Mac Léinn and Sult. 2,000 students, 6 Acts and festival level production. Electronic Stage at Sult: Black Traffic, CamrinWatsin, Fish56Octagon, GJ504B b2b Nicole Reaney and Parfait. More info and tickets HERE.

Wednesday 12^th February | Dé Céadaoin an 12 Feabhra

• 11am-4pm SU Charity Cup. €500 prize up for grabs in this 5 A Side Competition in the Corrib Cages. More info and Sign up HERE.
• 12pm-3pm Writers Soc Blind Date With a Book (store) in The View. Have you ever wanted to go on a blind date with a book? Felt like you need a change in literary scenery? Our “Blind Date With a Book(store) “ pop-up bookstore offers a charming way to discover new authors, genres, and narratives like never before! Each book comes wrapped with its very own blurb, so for the small price of €5 you can pick the perfect literary suitor for you! All proceeds go to the SU Charities.

Thursday 13^th February | Déardaoin an 13 Feabhra

• 11am-12pm Galentines Day Prosecco and Pancake Brunch in the Corrib Room at Sult in aid of the SU Charities. Tickets available HERE.
• 11.30am-4.45pm Sports Day Challenge. University of Galway vs ATU! Starting 11.30am in the pool and sports centre and then moving to College Park at 12.15pm. There’ll be a DJ, entertainment and a continuous flow of sports games and fun challenges between the two universities. Trophy presentation between 4pm and 4.45pm. • 7pm Speed Quizzing at Sult

Friday 14^th February | Dé hAoine an 14 Feabhra

• 1pm-2pm Charity Auction. Join us at in the Corrib Room at Sult for lunch and a charity auction with auctioneer Colm O’Donnellan from O’Donnellan & Joyce. Tickets €5 on sale HERE includes lunch. Auction item list HERE.
• 8pm Akumakon Takeover at Sult
