Council Notes
That transparent democratic processes are a cornerstone of student representation and accountability within the Students’ Union.
Council Further Notes
That when votes are held at meetings of Comhairle Chomhaltas na Mac Léinn, only the outcome (e.g., “passed” or “fallen”) is verbally returned to students.
Council Also Notes
That the publication of numerical voting results (e.g., X Tá, Y Níl, Z Staon) provides clarity and fosters trust in the Union’s decision-making processes.
That other Students’ Unions, including but not limited to Comhairle Saol na Mac Léinn Ollscoil Luimnigh, record and publish vote totals in their official meeting minutes as standard practice.
