Monday 7th October | Dé Luain an 7 Deireadh Fómhair
- 6.30pm-7.30pm Jigsaw 5 A Day for Mental Health Online Workshop. Free online workshop to help you learn strategies to build + take care of your mental health. Book HERE.
Tuesday 8th October | Dé Máirt an 8 Deireadh Fómhair
- 5pm-6pm SU x Plámás “Caife agus Cómhra” at Plámás Café on Dominick Street
Wednesday 9th October | Dé Céadaoin an 9 Deireadh Fómhair
- 5pm-6pm Financial Resilience Online Workshop. Financial resilience is the ability to cope with negative events that impact on our finances. It’s about feeling secure and in control, knowing that you can pay the bills, deal with the unexpected, and have achievable goals for the future. Book HERE.
- 6.30pm Kneecap Movie Screening. Join us for a screening of the Kneecap Movie in Pálás cinema. Tickets are just €5 for students registered for Pálás Student Loyalty Scheme now available HERE. Loyalty scheme membership also means discounted popcorn and drinks!
Thursday 10th October |Déardaoin an 10 Deireadh Fómhair
- 11am-3pm Feel Good Fair in Áras na Mac Léinn. Call down to meet the Irish Guide Dogs, Joe.ie, Active* Consent, Seas Suas, the Counselling Service, the Chaplaincy and of course your Students’ Union will be there too! There’ll also be a Bake Sale in aid of the SU Charities (Galway Rape Crisis Centre and Galway Autism Partnership) arranged by 1st year podiatric medicine students.
- 11am-3pm Pop Up Charity Shop with Galway Simon Community in the Cube
- 8pm Sensory Night at Sult. A sensory friendly evening for all with dimmed lighting, a calm zone, reduced sound and more. Limited free tickets HERE.
Friday 11th October | Dé hAoine an 11 Deireadh Fómhair
- 9.30am-1pm safeTALK Training. safeTALK is a 3½ hour ‘suicide alertness’ programme that prepares participants (over the age of 18 yrs.) to identify and engage with persons who may be having thoughts of suicide. Participants learn how to provide practical help by using the steps of TALK (Tell, Ask, Listen and Keepsafe) and also gain information on the supports and resources available locally, regionally and nationally. - 1.30pm EcoCafé in An Séipéal/The Chapel – a judgement free confidential space where you can voice your concerns about environmental issues with others.
