Youth Perspective on The Irish War of Independence
Hi everyone, my name is Jack and I’m a final year History and English student. I have been chosen by the university to represent them and the students at the Sean Mac Diarmada Summer School to discuss history and, more specifically, the Irish War of Independence. The topic of my presentation is ‘Youth Perspective on The Irish War of Independence and Its Legacy’. I am conducting a survey looking for honest opinions among the youth about various aspects of the Irish War of Independence and how it’s seen today. The survey is trying to capture a wide range of opinions on the war and its legacy, even if you do not know much about it. The results will be presented as part of my discussion at the event on the 6th June 2021. The survey is completely anonymous, contains 10 questions and is roughly 6-7 minutes long. Link to survey here

Have your say on Accessibility and Universal Design at NUIG
The university management team recognises the importance of addressing accessibility and Universal Design in order to make services, information provision, buildings, teaching and learning and the visitor experience accessible and inclusive for all regardless of age, size or ability. NUIG has engaged a consultant to develop a policy and action plan around universal design, accessibility, and inclusion matters in order to make NUIG a more respectful and inclusive university within which to study, work or visit. Student input is crucial to this process as it is important that the university’s policy and action plan is informed by the experience of students with accessibility challenges, and/or those with an interest in accessibility and inclusivity matters. You can get involved by completing a short survey to share your views/thoughts/experiences of accessibility and Universal Design at NUIG. You can access the survey HERE

Treoir le Teacht Slán as an Seimeastar: An Pointe Leath Bealaigh
Comhghairdeas leat, tá tú leath bealaigh tríd an seimeastar! Seo roinnt leideanna le cabhrú leat do bhealach a dhéanamh tríd an gcuid atá fágtha.
Is mithid duit a fháil amach cén chuma a bheidh ar do mheasúnú deireadh seimeastair. Cuir ceist ar do léachtóir le go mbeidh tú in ann tosú ag ullmhú.
Déan amach cén stíl foghlama atá agatsa le go mbeidh tú in ann leas a bhaint as na teicnící is fearr a oibreoidh duit.
Nach bhfuil tú cinnte cén chaoi a bhfuil ag éirí leat?
Níl le déanamh agat ach ceist a chur! Iarr aiseolas ar do léachtóir agus, más gá, iarr cruinniú leis nó léi.
An bhfuil do mhisneach ag teip nó an bhfuil tú ag titim ar gcúl?
Sin é an saol in amanna. Má tá do hata caite le do sceideal do sheachtain 1 cheana féin nó mura bhfuil ag éirí leat luí isteach ar an obair arís, déan liosta ‘Le Déanamh’ nó cuir sceideal nua i dtoll a chéile. Tarraing anáil dhomhain agus tóg ó lá go lá é.
Ag dul deacair ort rudaí a thuiscint?
Dírigh isteach ar na hábhair atá ag dul deacair ort. Iarr ar do léachtóir cabhair nó acmhainní breise a thabhairt duit, más gá.
Sos?
Ar ghlac tú sos inniu? An raibh greim le hithe agat? An ndeachaigh tú amach le bolgam aer úr a fháil? Faigh roinnt ama le dul amach faoin aer agus déan cinnte de go mbíonn sé ar do sceideal! Tabhair aire duit féin.
Tá neart daoine agus eagraíochtaí ann ar féidir leo tacaíocht a thabhairt duit: do léachtóirí, seirbhísí comhairleoireachta agus an Comhaltas, gan ach roinnt acu a lua. Ná bíodh aon drogall ort teagmháil a dhéanamh leo má bhíonn cabhair uait.
